SMEX® – online on-site exams

Available from 01.03.2024 – information about SMEX exam availability in Latvia will follow.

A SMEX exam is a computer-based, on-site group exam supervised by an iSQI invigilator.
You will take the exam on your own device via our online SMEX platform which is secured
using the “Safe Exam Browser” web browser.

Safe Exam Browser is a web browser-environment to carry out online-exams safely. The
software changes any computer into a secure workstation. It regulates the access to any
utilities and prevents candidates from using unauthorized resources. This is important for
ensuring the integrity of the examination is always maintained.

Technical Requirements:

  • Laptop, Computer or iPad with 4GB ram (No chrome books or tablets)
  • Operating system: Windows 8.1, 10, 11 or macOS 10.12 & newer or iOS/iPadOS 11 & newer
  • Intel Core i3 (or equivalent)
  • Latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari Browser
  • Stable internet with a minimum speed of 516kbps

How to schedule your FLEX (remote proctor) exam?

After you purchase your exam voucher from iSQI at www.isqi.org, you will receive a voucher code and detailed instructions from exam@isqi.org on how to book your exam with ProctorExam. Please allow up to 24 hours to receive your voucher details. Once you have received your voucher details, you can book your exam for earliest 3 days (72 hours) after entering the booking system. Thereafter, the system is available 24/7, 7 days a week.
